Yim Tin Tsai Story [鹽田仔的故事]

Yim Tin Tsai is an island in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. The name "Yim Tin Tsai" in Chinese mean the Little Salt Field. The St.Joseph's Chapel on Yim Tin Tsai is a Grade III historic building. In 1866, thirty members of the Chan family in Yim Tin Tsai were baptized.

上星期六, 在一些機緣巧合下與影友和兒子去了西貢鹽田仔. 這是我第一次踏足這昔日的曬鹽小漁村.
島上的村民大多已經搬走了, 只剩下一些破爛舊屋. 但在小山丘上卻有一座雅致的小教堂(聖若瑟小堂).
我在導賞團中, 得知在這小教堂的歷史背後有著早期西教士來到這小小客家漁村傳教的故事!

Sakura Festival 富山櫻の祭

I am very lucky that I met the Sakura Festival time in Toyama (Japan). There were a lot of Sakura trees in Toyama area, I took some photos in both day time and night time.

我剛剛上月去完日本富山, 正遇上櫻花盛開之時, 更有幸初次參與日本人的賞櫻花Party! ^_^!!

Flying High 一鷹還有一鷹高!

An eagle was flying high in the sky. He thought that he was the highest......He did not realize another eagle was flying up far above him and playing with the clouds for a long time already.

一只鷹在高天中展翅飛翔著, 牠意為自已已經到了至高之處. 可是牠卻不知道, 原來在餘輝彩霞下有另一只鷹早就傲翔穿梭於彩雲之間了......

The Golden Edge 金邊下白泥

That was my first time to visit Ha Pak Nai which is a very famous place for sunset seeing in Hong Kong. March is not the right time to enjoy the sight of sunset in there. Fortunately, even I could not see the big orange in the sky but I saw a big cloud with a very beautiful "Golden Edge"!!

另外三月時份並不是拍夕陽的好季節, 所以一早就沒想過能拍到靚靚咸旦黃! 沒下雨已經非常感恩了! (之前過祈禱) 當時個領隊已經說要上車去食飯, 要我們收機了. 而剛剛有舊超級大黑雲突然飄來把完本有機會拍到的夕陽蓋過正著. 我把握最後的一分鐘, 在太陽沉入大黑雲之際, 拍下了這最後幾張金邊雲彩相!!
想不到拍不到咸旦黃卻拍到鑲著大金邊的雲彩. 可算是意外收獲!! 希望下能拍到白泥咸旦黃哪!!

Cosmos Collection [秋英集]

This album was taken in 2009 Hong Kong Flower Show, which held from 13 to 22 March 2009 at Victoria Park. Cosmos was the "theme flower" of this show.

秋英 - 小小的花兒突然間變成了鏡頭下的明星......不過, 花展一過還會有人願意停下繁忙的腳步去看她們一眼呢? 過幾年後, 可能連她的名字都忘掉了呢!

Yesterday's Station 昨日車站

Hong Kong Railway Museum is a railway museum in Tai Po, Hong Kong, which opened in 1985. Actually, it is the Old Tai Po Market Railway Station that built in 1913. This photo album was taken on 7/2/2009, I did the photo retouching on to them, made them to have a old looking. (Admission to the museum is free)

早天突然有感動去了大埔火車博物館拍照. 火車博物館是不少拍友影model 的好地方. 而我卻是想在舊火車站中去尋找在過去的感覺. 我試途拍下了一些影像, 可惜能找到的也只是剩下來不完全的回憶碎片吧.

Fotanian 2009 Hong Kong

Snap-Hunt in Tsim Sha Tsui 老尖獵影

Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) is a very famous place in Hong Kong, which is the heart and soul of Hong Kong situated at the very tip of the Kowloon Peninsula and is best reached by taking the scenic Star Ferry across the harbour from Central. Cat Street 摩囉街

Cat Street, also known as Mosque Street, is located between Lok Ku Road and Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan. It comprises Hollywood Road and Upper Lascar Row. Cat Street is famous and interesting place in selling the antiques and the old things.

Many years ago when I worked Sheung Wan area, I always went there frequently, because I am interesting in interesting old stuffs, certainly will be far from playing the antiques, but only bought some old watchs, old toys and some interesting old stuffs. However, I haven’t been there since I didn’t work in Sheung Wan area.

Recently, I re-visited the Cat Street and took some photographs there, I found that there has changed a lot already. Many old shops closed and changed to some other new shops, but I still met the “boss” some shop which I bought things from them before. Although I met them for only few times, but I just feel like meet some old friends again after years.

摩囉街是一個專賣古董及舊東西的有趣地方。它位於上環樂古道與荷李活道之間，分為摩囉上街和摩囉下街。很多年我在上環工作時，經常會去摩囉街逛逛，因為我對舊東西特別有興趣，當然談不上玩古董，只是買些舊錶，舊玩具和一些古怪的舊東西。但自從轉換工作地點後，就很少再行摩囉街了。

最近重遊摩囉街拍了些相片，與當年所見的摩囉街己經變化不少。有很多檔口與店子都變了，不過也有遇著幾個我幫襯過的店子及檔口老闆。雖然同他們只有幾面之緣，但多年後再見面卻有像見到老朋友的親切。

Graham Street Market Festival 嘉咸街街市節

I went to Sheung Wan to take photos with my friend recently. We were so lucky that to meet the date of the "Graham Street Market Festival". There have some raree-shows and the photographic exhibition, the market merchant also have good response to this activity. Actually, this kind of old-style open-air Street Markets are getting fewer and fewer in Hong Kong. The Graham Street Market also faces the destiny of dismantling. Did not know that such interesting "Graham Street Market Festival l" can be the last time?

早天我約影友去上環影相，剛巧遇著一年一度的"嘉咸街街市節"。有街頭表演和攝影展，街市商戶亦同心響應活動。其實，本港這類舊式露天市集己經愈來愈少，嘉咸街街市也面臨被清拆的命運。不知這樣的"嘉咸街街市節"會否是最後一次呢?

Bird Garden Hong Kong 雀鳥公園

The Hong Kong Bird Garden located at Yuen Po Street, near the Flower Market in Mongkok, which was completed in 1997. Its architectural style based on Chinese garden style. There have many shops which sells birds, birdcage and bird feeding. It is a very interesting place for tourist and photographer.

This album was taken in this month. I found so many other photographers doing the same, capturing images as I did, when I was been there. The most camera attractive star were the parrots, they have eye-catching colors and many different expressions too.

園圃街雀鳥花園位於界限街、基提道、太子道西及園圃街的交匯處，鄰近旺角大球場及花墟道，一九九七年三月落成。鳥花園的興建，主要是因土地發展公司把位於旺角的康樂街，俗稱「雀仔街」的範圍重建。為了保留「雀仔街」的特色和風貌，故在園圃街興建了這個雀鳥花園。花園以中式庭園建築為主，並是售賣雀鳥、雀籠、雀鳥飼料等檔位的集中地，深受愛雀人士歡迎，同時也是一個市民及遊客的好去處。

這輯相片是我近日到雀鳥花園拍攝的，拍攝時也遇見很多其他拍友在捕捉一些有趣的鏡頭。最吸引拍友的莫過於那些色彩奪目，表情多多的鸚鵡。

Hong Kong Flower Market 花墟

Hong Kong Flower Market - is located in Mongkok Flower Market Road, close to the Mongkok Police Station. It is a street that fills of fresh flower fragrance. Each time when I walk through the Flower Market, and saw those colorful riotous fresh flower, those green plants, my mood will become specially relaxed happy. Also, there are some old Chinese buildings with high historical and culture value, moreover was already listed by the government as legal historical site. Later on, the appearance of those old Chinese buildings more or less may have a little change. Therefore, I hoped that keeps down present's images of the colored Flower Market .

花墟...位於旺角太子鄰近旺角警署, 是一條充滿鮮花香味的街道。 我每次去到花墟, 看到那些七彩繽紛的鮮花和綠悠悠的綠色植物的時候, 我的心情就會變得特別輕鬆愉快. 而位於花墟的一列戰前舊唐樓更是很有歷史價值及文化特式, 而且已經被政府列為法定古蹟。 遲些那一列唐樓將會被保育及番新, 那裡的面貌或多或少都會有點改變。 所以, 我希望把現在的花墟影像留下來。

Nga Tsin Wai Village 衙前圍村

I just have a first visit to the Nga Tsin Wai Village. Nga Tsin Wai Village is a walled village in Wong Tai Sin, New Kowloon (Hong Kong). It is the one of the few walled villages left in the urban built-up areas of Hong Kong. On July 18, 2007, the government announced its plans to reconstruct Nga Tsin Wai Village. This urban walled village will be disappear from us soon.

"衙前圍村"為於新浦崗邊. 是很有歷史的.也被稱為城市中的圍村. 圍村城牆早在大戰期間被日軍下令拆了. 這是我第一次步入衙前圍村, 也可能是最後一次. 因為好快會重建, 裡面有一大半屋已經被拆了.....

Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate 牛頭角下邨

Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate 牛頭角下邨

The Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate one of earliest public estate which built in 1967 to 1969 by the Hong Kong Housing Department. Also it is the one of the old-style estate in Hong Kong that has not reconstructed completely. The block 1-7th has been fully dismantled already in 2004, and waiting for the reconstruction. Now, the block left 8-14th will also dismantle within 2008 to 09 years for reconstruction. These images will come people's collective recollection at the appointed time .......

牛頭角下邨於1967 - 1969年間興建, 是早期香港房委會轄下的公共屋邨之一. 也同時期舊式公共屋邨中全港僅存的未完全重建的屋邨。第1-7座於2004年已完成清拆正等待重建，現時只剩下第8-14座，也預算會於2008至09年內清拆重建。到時這些影像將變成大家的集體回憶.......

Corners in Central

Old "New Asia College" Visit in Sham Shui Po

A interesting visit of the former address of the "New Asia College" which was located in Kweilin Street, Sham Shui Po. The old campus of New Asia College just inside an old Chinese building, and established in September 1949 by Ch'ien Mu and several other scholars from mainland China. In March 1950 New Asia College was official established in Kau Pui Lung near Farm Road and Tin Kwong Road. It was amalgamated with Chung Chi College and United College to form CUHK in 1963. It is now one of the four colleges of The Chinese University of Hong Kong along with Chung Chi College, United College and Shaw College.

Another 2 hours walk in Shamshuipo 13-7-2008

As the title, here is the 2nd album of 2 hours walk in Shamshuipo. I went there on 13-7-2008 with 2 more photographers. One was my friend, one was my 5 years old son. It was very interesting to go photo taking with friends and son. In that day, there has an exhibition open ceremony held in Kweilin Street, the old address of "New Asia College".

A Walk in Lei Yue Mun

"Lei Yue Mun" the very first sea food Chinese restaurant place in Hong Kong. Even this is my second time to visit there, but I have not much memory for my first vist, it was many many years ago, when I was still a little kid.

A Walk in Yau Tong

Yau Tong is a place in Hong Kong, which not many people will visit. Most people know about Yau Tong, may just as exchange MTR station. This is my first time to walk in there, and recording some images.

2 Hours in Cha Kwo Ling

Cha Kwo Ling (茶果嶺) is a place which I heard when I was a kid. Even Hong Kong is not a big place, however this is my first time to step on ground of Cha Kwo Ling. It may be hard for tourist to believe Hong Kong still has such a place which keeps many old DIY house.

2 Hours in Shamshuipo

As the title, all the photos in this album were taken within 120 mins in Shamshuipo district of Hong Kong. Shamshuipo is an old district, which has a lot of old buildings, and full of traditional stuffs. There also has a very famous street, called Apliu Street. It is full of vendors which selling electronic stuffs and old second hand things.

KITE FLY

These seven photos were took in last Sunday, in a very famous Kite Paradise "Tai Au Mun 大拗門" in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. Most the people may think kite playing is a kid's game, but I found a large group of Traditional Chinese Kite Warriors enjoying their Kite War Fighting Game for the whole day there.

Fly over Hong Kong

This was my 2nd time to have helicopter Hong Kong Island round trip. I took video and some photos during the trip. It was a very interesting and wounderful experience to ride on a helicopter, which was much different ride on a plane.

Chinese New Year "Flower Market" Victoria Park

The photos was took in "Flower Market" in the Victoria Park on 3 Feb 2008 before the Chinese New Year of Hong Kong. The year coming is the year of "Mouse", that is why so many people sell toys and stuffs in mouse images......

These Panorama photos were taken in many different places, such as Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. Each of the panorama photos is the combination of 3 to 8 photos by using Photoshop to retouch. I know there has some programs which can do it automatically, however I like to make it by my own hands.
